IPS Summer Camp provides children up to five years of age with a
recreational
and enriching environment. Each day, the children will be offered
indoor
and outdoor activities: art, sand play, science, movement, outdoor
sprinklers,
water play, cooking, music, stories, and local trips. Swimming and
tennis program information will be provided as soon as it is available.
Our classroom teachers
and specialty teachers come from our year-round staff. The goal is to
provide a warm atmosphere encouraging children to adjust with ease to
their
new summer environment and be ready for next fall's program. (Priority
placement is given to children already enrolled at IPS.)
Children under 3 must be enrolled in the Fall '09 program to apply to Summer Camp.
Summer Together is for children 1.10 to 2.2 years of
age (by June 1st) who are enrolled in our Fall 2010 program. The
program requires full participation of an adult with each child as
classroom activities have been designed for the two to work together.
The 2010 camp will
run at the following IPS locations:
- 28 East 35th Street
- 330 East 45th Street
- 351 East 74th Street (No Camp at 74th Street due to construction)
- 120 West 76th Street
