Dear IPS Families,
We have been reflecting lately on how grateful we are to be part of this community of children, parents and educators. More than ever, it is nice to be able to focus on our children and appreciate the diversity of cultures that are celebrated at IPS.
On behalf of the PA, we want to thank all the families at IPS for their support and generosity. Coming together as a community, we raised $3,000 for IPS’ art curriculum through the keepsakes you ordered from Original Works. In addition, we raised $2,350 for the Eiko Shimada Library Fund through the Book Fair.
The generosity of families at IPS extended beyond our own community. During the holiday season, hundreds of food items were collected benefiting our neighborhood food pantries, we delivered over 200 new toys to H.E.L.P USA, and gave over 60 coats to New York Cares. The overwhelming success of these food, toy, and clothing drives is testament to the kindness, compassion, and generosity that make the IPS community so extraordinary.
We are especially looking forward to coming together as a community on Friday April 28th to celebrate this year’s Spring Benefit – The Red Lantern Gala. The Spring Benefit is not only a fantastic party but also the largest PA fundraiser of the year, with proceeds going towards financial aid, faculty enrichment, curriculum enhancement, and facilities improvements. Additional details will be forthcoming. In the interim, the Spring Benefit Committee is seeking donations for the Spring Benefit auction. To donate in-kind merchandise, gift certificates or services for the auction, please complete the online form here or email firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information.
We are always open to suggestions on how to improve the IPS experience for all of our families, so please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you again, and hope you can join us for Mom’s Night Out and Dad’s Night Out in March!
